Question 454920
I am having a problem trying to understand how to find zeros of a function if the problem does not show an equation.
What are the zeros of the following functions?
1st problem:
x=-2  y=14
<font color = "red">x=-1  y=0</font>
x=3   y=3
x=5   y=7
<font color = "red">x=9   y=0</font>

2nd problem:
x=1   y=10
x=2   y=20
x=3   y=5
<font color = "red">x=4   y=0</font>
x=5   y=15

<pre>
A zero of a function is simply any value of x
that corresponds to y=0. Above I have colored red
the cases where y=0. There are two zeros of the
first problem, -1 and 9, for those are the values
of x that correspond to y=0. There is only one
zero of the second problem, 4.
