Question 454868

{{{g(x)=8/(6-7x)}}}....The domain is all the values that {{{x}}} is allowed to take on. The only problem we have with this function is that we need to be careful not to {{{divide}}} by {{{zero}}}. So the only values that {{{x }}}can not take on are those which would cause division by zero. So we wll set the denominator equal to zero and solve; your domain will be everything else.

{{{6-7x=0}}}

{{{6=7x}}}

{{{6/7=x}}}

domain:

({{{-infinity}}},{{{6/7}}}) U ({{{6/7}}}, {{{infinity}}})

{{{ graph( 500, 500, -10, 10, -10, 10, 8/(6-7x)) }}}
