Question 447948
i need your help... can you graph this equation? y=-(x-4)^2+3
*state weather the graph opens upward or downwards?
down because of the negative on the (x-4)^2
----------------------------------
*is the vertex of the graph a maximum or minimum point?
max because the graph goes down from the vertex.
----------------------------------
*find the vertex of the graph of the function?
Vertex: (4,3)
----------------------------------
*what is the axis of symmetry?
x = 4
----------------------------------
*identify the transformation of the graph (how did you move the parabola)?
x-4 moves the parabola to the 4 to the right.
3 moves the graph up 3 units.
