Question 441944
A linear equation has the form y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
We are given two points on the line:
(4,1.35) and (11,3.1)
We can compute the slope from these two points:
m = (3.1-1.35)/(11-4) = 0.25
Now we can use either of the two points to find b
Using the 1st point we have:
1.35 = 4(0.25) + b -> 1.35 - 1.00 = b -> b = 0.35
So the linear equation is:
y = 0.25x + 0.35
