 p = .45  q = .55 
random sample of 35 patients
P(at least 17 test negative)= .8251
mean = .55*35 = 19 expected average number to test negative..
SD = sqrt(35*.55*.45) = ~3
P(at least 16 test negative) = .84 for example  
z > -1 (everything to the right of that)
so...P(at least 17 test negative) would be estimated to be somewhat < than 84%.
