Question 428641
Put the equation in standard form:
{{{3x - 5y = 1 -> y = (3/5)x - 1/5}}}
A perpendicular line will have a slope which is the negative reciprocal:
m = -(1/(3/5)) = -5/3
So one equation of a perpendicular line would be:
y = (-5/3)x + 1
Note that there are infinitely many perpendicular lines, each with a different y-intercept.
