Question 423992
A launched rocket has an altitude in meters, given by the polynomial
h(t)= -4.9t^2 + vot + so, h is the height in meters vo is the velocity in meters per second, so is the initial height of the object and t is the number of seconds the rocket is airborne.
If the rocket is launched from the top of a tower that is 120 meters and the initial speed is 40 meters per second, what will its height be after 3 seconds??
--------
h(3) = -4.9(3)^2+40(3) + 120
-----------------
h(3) = 195.9 meters
