Question 422513
you are given one point (10,7) and a slope {{{3/8}}}; you need to find equation of a line that goes through given point and has a given slope

So it's

{{{y-(7)=3/8(x-(10))}}} then

{{{y-7=(3/8)x-(3/8)(10))}}}.........reduce {{{(3/cross(8)4)(cross(10)5))=3*5/4=15/4}}}

{{{y-7=(3/8)x-15/4)}}}..move {{{-7}}} to the right

{{{y=(3/8)x-15/4+ 7)}}}.....write {{{7}}} as a fraction with denominator {{{4}}} so you can subtract {{{-15/4}}} from it.....{{{7*4/4=28/4}}}

{{{y=(3/8)x-15/4+ 28/4)}}}...or

{{{y=(3/8)x+ (28/4 -15/4))}}}

{{{y=(3/8)x+ (28 -15)/4)}}}

{{{y=(3/8)x+ 13/4)}}}

{{{ graph(500, 500, -10, 10, -10, 10, (3/8)x+(13/4))) }}}
