Question 410685
I can't figure out y=mx+b I think I forgot how to solve this. x+3y=6 then I have to put it back and shade one side of the graph.
-----------------------------
If you are shading, you have an inequality.
----
Let's assume you have x+3y < 6.
----
Then y < (-x/3) + 2
-------
Notice: No inequality is graphed directly.
You 1st must graph the boundary, which is
always an equality.
So, for your problem you should graph
y EQUALS (-x/3)+2 as a dashed line; dashed
because that boundary is not part of the
solution.
---
Then, since you want y LESS than (-x/3)+2
you should shade the half plane BELOW
the boundary to get:
{{{graph(400,300,-10,10,-10,10,y<(-x/3)+2)}}}
