Question 410526
SOLUTIONS: Let the width of a rectangle be "W"

Given: Length= 3W
Perimeter= 24

We know the perimeter of a rectangle is

P= 2(L +W)
24=2(3W + W)
24=2(4W)
24=8W
So, W= 24/8
W=3

Therefore the length= 3W
                     =3 x 3
                      =9
So the length is 9 and the width is 3
