Hi
If Brian makes 65% of his free throws,
what is the probability that he will make 3 out of the 5
Note: The probability of x successes in n trials is:
P = nCx* {{{p^x*q^(n-x)}}} where p and q are the probabilities of success and failure respectively.
In this case p= .65 & q = .35
nCx = {{{n!/(x!(n-x!))}}} = 5*4*3/2*3 = 10
 P( making 3 out of 5) = 10(.65)^3(.35)^2 = .3364
