Question 402243
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

I'm going to presume you mean:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ g(x)\ =\ \frac{4}{9\ -\ 7x}]

which is a <b><i>ratio</b></i>nal function since it is the <b><i>ratio</b></i> of two polynomials. The domain of a rational function is the set of real numbers excluding any value that would make the denominator equal zero.

To determine the values to be excluded from the domain, set the denominator of your function equal to zero. The zero(s) of the denominator polynomial are the values to exclude.

*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
