Question 395957
(8/27)^2/3
----
The 3 in the denominator of the exponent tells you to
take the cube root.
---
The 2 in the numerator of the exponent tells you to
square.
----
You may perform these operations in any order and still
get the same answer.
---
But, by taking the root 1st you get a smaller number to
square. So I would recommend you take the root, then
square, rather than square, and then take the root.
---
So, (8/27)^(2/3)
1st: take the cube root to get:
(2/3)^2
2nd: now square to get:
= 4/9
