Initial solution is 6 quarts.  60% of it is alcohol, giving us 3.6 quarts alcohol.  The remaining 40% (2.4 quarts) is water.  how much does the total have to be so that 3.6/T=40%?  let's c {{{3.6/x=40/100}}} 360/40=9.  9-3.6=5.4, we need 5.4 quarts..  o it's 2 quarts?  ..how did you do it?
