Question 394424
{{{2x+3y=-20}}} Start with the second equation.

{{{2x+3(6x)=-20}}} Plug in {{{y=6x}}}

{{{2x+18x=-20}}} Multiply

{{{20x=-20}}} Combine like terms on the left side.

{{{x=(-20)/(20)}}} Divide both sides by {{{20}}} to isolate {{{x}}}.

{{{x=-1}}} Reduce.

{{{y=6x}}} Go back to the first equation

{{{y=6(-1)}}} Plug in {{{x=-1}}}

{{{y=-6}}} Multiply

So the solutions are {{{x=-1}}} and {{{y=-6}}} which form the ordered pair (-1,-6)
