Hi
Note; Pythagorean Theorem and calculator make short work of this exercise
where ABC is rt Δ with length of hypotenuse C and A and B are the lengths of the legs
A^2 + B^2 = C^2    OR  B^2 = C^2 - A^2
(a)If A=12 , B= 16 then c = {{{sqrt(12^2 + 16^2)}}}
(c) if a=1 b=2 c={{{sqrt(1^2 + 2^2)}}}
(b) if A=24 , B=? and C=25  B = {{{sqrt(25^2 - 24^2)}}}
(d) if a=18 b=? c=20   b = {{{sqrt(20^2 - 18^2)}}}
Will leave using Your calculator up to You.
(operations under the radical sign need to be done prior to taking the sqrt)
