Question 390208
<font face=”Garamond” size=”+2”>

Square both sides. You are allowed to do this because we know that if *[tex \Large a\ =\ b] then *[tex \Large a^2\ =\ b^2]

*[tex \LARGE\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  \sqrt{5x\ -\ 25}\ =\ 20]

*[tex \LARGE\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  5x\ -\ 25\ =\ 400]

Then just solve for x by ordinary means.

Just idle curiosity: How much more confused are you if you ask a question and end it it three question marks as opposed to the grammatically correct one?

John
*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
