Question 389689
Assuming that the equation is {{{v=-(1/3)t+3}}}

{{{v=-(1/3)t+3}}} Start with the given equation.

{{{v=-(1/3)(9)+3}}} Plug in {{{t=9}}} (since we want to know the value 'v' when it's t=9 years)

{{{v=-9/3+3}}} Multiply {{{-1/3}}} and {{{9}}} to get {{{-9/3}}}

{{{v=-3+3}}} Reduce

{{{v=0}}} Combine like terms.

So the program's worth after 9 years is $0. In other words, the program is worthless after 9 years (so this the point of no return)

So when {{{t=9}}}, {{{v=0}}} giving us the point (9,0)
