Question 387967
{{{8*sqrt(20) + 7*sqrt(125) }}} Start with the given expression.

{{{8*sqrt(4*5) + 7*sqrt(25*5) }}} Factor the radicands

{{{8*sqrt(4)*sqrt(5) + 7*sqrt(25)*sqrt(5) }}} Break up the square roots

{{{8*2*sqrt(5) + 7*5*sqrt(5) }}} Take the square root of 4 and 25 to get 2 and 5 respectively

{{{16*sqrt(5) + 35*sqrt(5) }}} Multiply

{{{(16 + 35)sqrt(5) }}} Factor out the GCF {{{sqrt(5)}}}

{{{51*sqrt(5) }}} Add

So {{{8*sqrt(20) + 7*sqrt(125) = 51*sqrt(5) }}}
