Question 387124
I have a rental car company and trying to figure out a problem.
If I charge $139.95 per week and I lease 2 cars per week, how do I figure my yearly profit for the year see as I am increasing my income by 2 cars per week. I am looking for the formula
------------
1st week: cars = 2 ; profit = 2*139.95
2nd week: cars = 4 ; profit = 4*139.95
3rd week: cars = 6 ; profit = 6*139.95
...
...
52nd week: cars = 104 ; profit = 104*139.95
----------------
Find the sum for the year:
S(52) = (52/2)(2*139.95 + 104*139.95)
---
= 26(106*139.95)
= $305,702.20
