you will see that 6x is a multiple of 3x. 3x*2=6x
so you can eliminate x by multiplying (1) 2 and add it to (2)
3x*2-2*2y=2*9
6x-4y=18.
add this to (2)
-6x+6x-4y+4y=18+1
0= 19
..
The system has no solution. As you will see from the grah below. The lines are parallel.
