Question 378445
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

We know that distance equals rate times time. But that means that rate is equal to distance divided by time. You have 30 miles distance and 45 minutes. Divide 30 by 45 resulting in *[tex \Large \frac{2}{3}]. Since your units were miles and minutes, the result must be in miles per minute. Since there are 60 minutes in one hour, 2 hours must be 120 minutes.

Distance (what we now want to know) is equal to rate (*[tex \Large \frac{2}{3}] miles/minute) times time (120 minutes).

I'll leave the rest of the arithmetic to you.
