Lets do the easy side first, the left side.
[3(x+2)+2x]
=3x+6+2x work on the interior parentheses 1st.
=5x+6

-[4(y+2)-3(y-2)] The tough side.
-[4y+8-3y+6] Notice you multipy -3 times y AND -2 which chnges the sign on both of them.
-[y+14]
-y-14 Ditto

5x+6-y-14
=5x-y-8
