Question 41453
Having trouble understanding Slopes and graphs portion of my Algebra class. please help.
The problem is
Determine which two equations represent parallel lines.
(a) y = 6x – 10 (b) y = –6x + 10 (c) y = 6x + 5 (d) y = x – 10
Thnks you
FOR LINES TO BE PARALLEL,THEY SHOULD HAVE SAME SLOPE
HERE
A.Y=6X-10...SLOPE=6
C.Y=6X+5....SLOPE=6
SO THEY ARE PARALLEL
B.HAS SLOPE OF -6 AND D.HAS SLOPE OF 1
