SEE MY COMMENTS BELOW.
At present Mary's age is seven times that of her daughter Amy...SAY X YEARS
SO MARYS AGE IS 7X
IN 10 YEARS THEY WILL BE X+10 AND 7X+10
. In ten year's time Mary's age will be three times that of Amy. What are their present ages?
Is it:
7x+10 = 3(x+10)...............EXCELLENT!!
4x = 20
x = 5...................................PERFECT
therefore: Mary's age = 35 years old
Amy's age = 5 years old
Just wondering..WHY WONDER? BE PROUD AND BE CONFIDENT.SHED YOUR INHIBITIONS.
