Question 374628

{{{x^3+5x^2+3x+15}}} Start with the given expression

{{{(x^3+5x^2)+(3x+15)}}} Group like terms

{{{x^2(x+5)+3(x+5)}}} Factor out the GCF {{{x^2}}} out of the first group. Factor out the GCF {{{3}}} out of the second group

{{{(x^2+3)(x+5)}}} Since we have the common term {{{x+5}}}, we can combine like terms

So {{{x^3+5x^2+3x+15}}} factors to {{{(x^2+3)(x+5)}}}

In other words, {{{x^3+5x^2+3x+15=(x^2+3)(x+5)}}}
