Just pick <i>any</i> number other than zero. This will be the "a". Then replace the "a" in the fraction with that number and simplify the fraction. If you simplify correctly (add 7 and then divide by 7), you will find that the fraction does not work out to be the same as the "a" that you started with.<br>
P.S. In the future please post fractions with<ul><li>a "/" between the numerator and denominator</li><li>parentheses around numerators and/or denominators with more than one term.</li></ul>
So your fraction should have been posted as
(a+7)/a
or
(a+7/(a)
Trying to use a horizontal fraction bar like you did can make the fractions completely unintelligible.
