I'll show you the first one...apply what I show you to the second one...here's the setup...
Let x be the amount of 30%.  Thus 200-x is the amount of the 50%.  Then we have
x(.30) + (200-x)(.50) = 200(.42)
.3x + 100 - .5x = 84
-.2x = -16
x = 80
200-x = 120
The second problem is almost exactly the same except for the numbers...
