Question 35251
You didnt specify, but I imagine you would like to simplify this expression.
{{{root( 3, -243x^3y^10)}}}
Lets start with the -243.
We can think of this as {{{root(3,-27*9)}}}
We know that the cubed root of -27 is -3.
So we can take out the -3 and leave the 9 under the radical {{{-3root(3,9x^3y^10)}}}
Next we look at the {{{x^3}}}.
We know that the cubed root of {{{x^3}}} is x, so that can come out as well.
{{{-3x*root(3,9y^10)}}}
Finally we lookat the {{{y^10}}}.
We can think of this as {{{root(3,y^9*y^1)}}}
From this we know that the {{{y^9}}} can come out 3 times as {{{y^3}}} with 1 remaining under the radical.
{{{-3xy^3root(3,9y^1)}}}
This is the most this expression can be simplified
I hope this helps.
Good Luck!
