Question 365710
{{{x^4+3x^3-x^2+6}}} Start with the given expression.

{{{(-3)^4+3(-3)^3-(-3)^2+6}}} Plug in {{{x=-3}}}.

{{{81+3(-3)^3-(-3)^2+6}}} Raise {{{-3}}} to the 4th power to get {{{81}}}.

{{{81+3(-27)-(-3)^2+6}}} Cube {{{-3}}} to get {{{-27}}}.

{{{81+3(-27)-9+6}}} Square {{{-3}}} to get {{{9}}}.

{{{81-81-9+6}}} Multiply {{{3}}} and {{{-27}}} to get {{{-81}}}.

{{{-3}}} Combine like terms.

So {{{x^4+3x^3-x^2+6=-3}}} when {{{x=-3}}}
