Question 12704
The equation of a line passes through two points is Y=aX + b

Let A with A(0,4) and B with B(1,1)

If the line passes through A(0,4), replace y by 4 and X by 0 in the equation:

4 = 0.a + b ---->b = 4

If the line passes through B(1, 1),replace y by 1, X by 1,in the equation, also replace b by 4 in the equation:

1 = (1)(a) + 4 ---> -4+1 = a ---->a = -3

Replace  a by -3 and b by 4 in the equation; y=-3x+4

this is the answer: y = -3x + 4
