Question 356566

{{{3x+y=-6}}} Start with the given equation.

{{{y=-6-3x}}} Subtract {{{3x}}} from both sides.

{{{y=-3x-6}}} Rearrange the terms.

So the equation {{{y=-3x-6}}} is now in slope intercept form {{{y=mx+b}}} where the slope is {{{m=-3}}} and the y-intercept is {{{b= -6}}} note: the y-intercept is the point *[Tex \LARGE \left(0, -6\right)]
