Question 355884
Hi,
.
Note: The best way to remember is that Area = l*w is in {{{units ^2}}}
.
Rectangle 10in by 20in,  Area would b {{{10in*20in = 200in^2}}}
.
Perimeter, on the other hand is a length: the length of the sum of its sides.
.
in our example:
.
P = 10in + 10in + 20in + 20in = 60in
.
Generally (to shorten it up) the Perimeter for a rectangle is written as:
P = 2*l + 2*w = the perimeter
