Question 352649
The amount of gasoline sold daily at a gas station is uniformly distributed with a minimum of 2,000 gallons and a maximum of 5,000 gallons. What is the probability that the station will sell at least 3,500 gallons?
I was using the uniform distribution formula but my answer is not looking right. Could you help me on it?
------------
The base of the distribution is 2000 to 5000
Width = 3000
---
Height of the distribution is 1/3000
---
P(3500<= x <=5000) = (1500)(1/3000) = 1/2
