You're doing great, but you forgot about the "plus/minus" involved when taking the square root. So the solutions of the second equation should be {{{x=sqrt(2)}}} or {{{x=-sqrt(2)}}}



This means that the x-intercepts are *[Tex \LARGE \left(-\sqrt{2},0\right)] and *[Tex \LARGE \left(\sqrt{2},0\right)]
