Question 352487

{{{2x+8<=4x-2(x+5)}}} Start with the given inequality.

{{{2x+8<=4x-2x-10}}} Distribute.

{{{2x+8<=2x-10}}} Combine like terms on the right side.

{{{2x<=2x-10-8}}} Subtract {{{8}}} from both sides.

{{{2x-2x<=-10-8}}} Subtract {{{2x}}} from both sides.

{{{0x<=-10-8}}} Combine like terms on the left side.

{{{0x<=-18}}} Combine like terms on the right side.

{{{0<=-18}}} Simplify.

Since the inequality {{{0<=-18}}} is NEVER true (for any 'x' value), this means that there are no solutions.
