Question 352140
As card is replaced, probability of both card are independent.

Both cards should be either spade, club, diamond or heart.

probability of first card is diamond = 1/4 ,

similarly for second card it is also 1/4

there are equal number of spade, club, diamond or heart card in a pack.

Probability of both cards are spade = 1/4 * 1/4 = 1/16

similiary, probability for both cards are club = 1/16

for both cards are diamond = 1/16

for both cards are heart = 1/16

now, probability of both cards are from same suit = 1 /16 + 1/16 + 1/16 + 1/16

                                                  = 4/16

                                                  = 1 /4

required probability is 1/4
