Question 351499
let one piece be x
and other y
x+y =44.............1
x/4 is the length of one side
s^2/16 = area of one square
...
y/4 is the length of side of second square
y^2/16 = arae
...
x^2/16 + y^2/16 = 65
x^2+y^2 = 16* 65=1040
=(x+y)^2 - 2xy = 1040  ( x+y)=44
=44^2 -2xy = 1040
=1936-2xy = 1040
-2xy = 1040-1936
-2xy =-896
xy = 448

...
x+y = 44
xy = 448
y = 4488/x
x+ 448/x = 44
x^2 + 448 =44x
x^2-44x+448=0

x^2-28x-16x+448=0
x(x-28)-16(x-28)=0
(x-28)(x-16)=0
x = 16 OR 28 These are the perimeters of the squares

20t-5t^2m =15
5t^2-20t +15 =0
/5
t^2-4t+3=0
t^2-3t-t+3=0
t(t-3)-1(t-3)=0
(t-3)(t-1)=0
t=1 or t = 3
Since what goes up has to come down the two times reflect one upwars and one while returnng after reaching maximum height.
