Question 347977
{{{4<-z-4<11}}} Start with the given compound inequality.

{{{4+4<-z<11+4}}} Add {{{4}}} to all sides.

{{{8<-z<11+4}}} Combine like terms on the left side.

{{{8<-z<15}}} Combine like terms on the right side.

{{{(8)/-1>z>(15)/-1}}} Divide all sides by -1 (this will flip the signs)

{{{-8>z>-15}}} Reduce.

{{{-15<z<-8}}} Rearrange the terms.

So the solution is {{{-15<z<-8}}}
