Question 347156
Hi,
*Note: The slope of a line and slope of a line perpendicular to it: are negative reciprocals
.
First find the slope of the line given:
Put it into a slope-intercept form of a line:  y = m*x = b
(m being the slope ad b the y-inteccept)
.
2x – 5y =3
.
Solve for y
– 5*y = -2*x+ 3
{{{y = (-2/-5)x+ (3/-5)}}}
{{{y = (2/5)x - 3/5)}}}
m = 2/5
The slope of the line perpendicular to it is: m = -5/2
