Question 345497
Hi,

Let the even numbers(Note:*differ by 2) be n, (n+2), (n+4) and (n+6)
The question states the following to be true:

{{{n+ (n+2)+ (n+4)+(n+6)=100}}}
.
Combine like terms and solve
{{{n+ n+2+ n+4+n+6=100}}}
.
{{{4n+ 12=100}}}
subtract 12 from both sides of the equation
{{{4n=88}}}
divide both sides of the equation by 4
{{{n=22}}} {{{(n+6) = 28}}} 28 is the largest
.
Check your answer!
22 + 24 + 26 +28 = 100
