Question 344735
{{{k (3x + 3)(x -1) = 0}}} and {{{x < 1}}}
We have a product that is equal to zero. By the Zero Product property we know that is a product is zero, one or more of the factors must be zero. With a little thought we can determine that both 3x+3 and x-1 are always going to be positive if {{{x > 1}}}. So that leaves k as the only factor that can be zero. So it must be zero!
