Question 339153
{{{A=LW}}} Start with the area of a rectangle formula.

{{{A/L=W}}} Divide both sides by {{{L}}} to isolate "W".

{{{W=A/L}}} Flip the equation.

{{{W=(450)/(24)}}} Plug in {{{A=450}}} and {{{L=24}}}.

{{{W=18.75}}} Divide {{{450}}} into {{{24}}} to get {{{18.75}}}.

So if a rectangle has a length of {{{24}}} inches and an area of {{{450}}} square inches, then it must have a width of {{{18.75}}} inches.
