Question 338258
how do you solve and graph y=(x-2)^2-3 ?
---
If you have studied vertical and horizontal
shifts you might see that the basic y = x^2
curve has been moved 2 units to the right
and 3 units down.
------------------------
That puts the vertex at (2,-3) and hopefully
you see that the parabola is opening up.
{{{graph(400,300,-10,10,-10,10,(x-2)^2-3)}}}
----
If all that does not make sense your only
alternative is to plot points.
