Question 338215
Like terms are variable expressions that have the same variable with the same exponent. For example, 4x and 5x are like terms. {{{4x}}} and {{{5x^2}}} are not like terms. If you have like terms then you can combine them.
3w+w=4w  First step
4w+4/13w Next step-here you have a whole number added to a fraction so you need a common denominator to add the two numbers.  The common denominator is 13.  So {{{4w=(4*13)w/13=(52w)/13}}}
{{{52w/13+4w/13=56w/13}}}
