Question 338026
Can you please help me understand how to solve this problem:
Suppose you bought 10 six-packs of soda. Each six-pack contains six 12 ounce cans of soda. How many gallons of soda did you buy?

First you take the amount of the six packs and multiply it by the amount of sodas in each pack
10x6=60

Then u must multiply the quotient (answer) by the amount of ounces in each can of soda
60x12=720

So there are 720 ounces in 10 six packs of soda...now to find the amount of gallons in 10 six packs of soda you must divide the amount of ounces by the amount of ounces in a gallon ( 128 oz = 1 gallon )
720÷128=5.625

so there are 5.625 gallons in 10 six packs of soda
thank you and good luck!
