Question 337493

{{{(4x+1)(2x^2+x+1)}}} Start with the given expression.

{{{4x(2x^2+x+1)+1(2x^2+x+1)}}} Expand.

{{{(4x)*(2x^2)+(4x)*(x)+(4x)*(1)+(1)*(2x^2)+(1)*(x)+(1)*(1)}}} Distribute.

{{{8*x^3+4*x^2+4*x+2*x^2+x+1}}} Multiply.

{{{8*x^3+6*x^2+5*x+1}}} Now combine like terms.

 So {{{(4x+1)(2x^2+x+1)}}} expands to {{{8*x^3+6*x^2+5*x+1}}}.

In other words, {{{(4x+1)(2x^2+x+1)=8*x^3+6*x^2+5*x+1}}}.
