Question 336341
{{{x^3+7x^2-8x-56}}} Start with the given expression

{{{(x^3+7x^2)+(-8x-56)}}} Group like terms

{{{x^2(x+7)-8(x+7)}}} Factor out the GCF {{{x^2}}} out of the first group. Factor out the GCF {{{-8}}} out of the second group

{{{(x^2-8)(x+7)}}} Since we have the common term {{{x+7}}}, we can combine like terms

So {{{x^3+7x^2-8x-56}}} factors to {{{(x^2-8)(x+7)}}}

In other words, {{{x^3+7x^2-8x-56=(x^2-8)(x+7)}}}
