Question 335297
I'm assuming you're trying to write {{{1/(1-x/y)}}} correct?

Take note that the LCD of the terms in the denominator is 'y'. So multiply EVERY term by 'y' to get

{{{(y*1)/(y*1-cross(y)(x/cross(y)))}}}

Take note that the 'y' in the denominator of {{{x/y}}} cancels out

So after multiplication and simplification, we're left with:

{{{y/(y-x)}}}

So {{{1/(1-x/y)}}} simplifies to {{{y/(y-x)}}}

In other words, {{{1/(1-x/y)=y/(y-x)}}} where {{{x<>y}}}
