Question 333546
Darah wants to print a book she has written, and then sell it to the public.
 She has found two companies that she is comparing.
 Books R Us wants to charge an initial fee of $220, and will print as many books
 as she wants for $8 dollars each.
 Bountiful Books has no initial fee, but wants $12 per book printed.
 Obviously, Bountiful Books is the better deal if she is only printing a few,
 and Books R Us would be better if printing a lot of them.
But what number of books would be the turning point?
 (at what number of books would the two companies be the same price)?
:
Let n = no. books when both companies cost the same
:
Bountiful$ = Book R$
12n = 8n + 220
12n - 8n = 220
4n = 220
n = {{{220/4}}}
n = 55 books
:
:
See if that is true, find the cost of each for 55 books
12(55) = $660
:
8(55) + 220
440 + 220 = $660 also
